What does demolition cost in the Columbia area?
Price follows the building and the site. Size, construction type, how close other structures sit, and how much debris has to leave all move the number. A small shed and a two story brick commercial building are different jobs. We look at the property, then give you a written number. Estimates are free, and the price we quote is the price for the work we agreed on.
Who hauls off the debris?
We do. Debris leaves on our own trucks as part of the job. Our tri axle dump truck and trailers are part of the crew, so the site gets cleaned as the teardown happens instead of waiting on a third party. When we leave, you have clean ground, not a pile.
Do I need a permit to tear down a house?
Most cities and counties around the Midlands require a demolition permit before a structure comes down. The paperwork differs between the city of Columbia, West Columbia, Lexington County and the outlying counties. We walk you through what your address needs and do the teardown to the approved permit.
What equipment do you run?
Full size CASE excavators, dozers and a tri axle Kenworth dump truck with trailers. That is real demolition equipment, sized for two story houses, commercial buildings and full lots. It is the difference between a demolition contractor and a landscaping crew with a mini excavator.
Can you handle the whole site, not just the teardown?
Yes. The same crew that takes the structure down can clear the rest of the lot, bring in fill, grade the ground flat and finish with gravel or concrete. Septic installs are on the menu too. One contractor from teardown to finished site keeps the schedule and the price simple.
